FEES AND TERMS

Standard appraisal fees for residential, single-family dwellings are as specified herein. Fees for multi-family residential, commercial, or specialty inspections will be quoted on a case-by-case basis.

Residential, single-family appraisal fees are as follows.

  • A minimum fee of $2,500 for an appraisal with a demand of $250,000 or less for Dwelling and Other Structures combined

  • Appraisals with a demand of more than $250,000 will be quoted on a case-by-case basis

EXPENSES

If additional experts are needed (Engineer, Plumber, Roofer, Electrician, etc.) their fees and costs will be additional and billed separately from the appraiser’s fee with prior notice and approval. Expenses and costs advanced by General Estimating & Contracting, Inc. will be marked up by 15 percent. Furthermore, if the neutral Umpire's involvement is necessary, the umpire’s fee will be billed separately from the appraisal fee and is the shared responsibility of both the insured and the insurer.

If it is required of us to coordinate with Insured directly for site visits and appraisal/umpire meetings it will be via text messaging and/or email and there will be an additional administrative fee of $125. If the Insured is non-responsive to text or requires phone calls the administration fee will be $350.

Expenses for extended travel (i.e. airfare or other travel methods, hotels, etc.) are usually billed according to costs and Billed accordingly if necessary with prior notice/approval. Some expenses may be referred directly to the client upon mutual agreement.

PAYMENT TERMS

Payment shall be due thirty (30) days from the date an executed copy of the appraisal award is produced. Any failure to pay the Appraisers invoice within thirty (30) days from the date of said appraisal award, payment will be pursued through the courts and attorney fees & court costs will be the responsibility of the non-payee. Pursuant to the appraisal clause of the Client policy, if the neutral Umpire involvement is necessary, the umpire’s fee typically due within (30) days, will be billed separately from the appraiser’s compensation listed herein by reference and is the shared responsibility of both the insured and the insurer.
